Best described by his mother as her biggest mistake…ever, Jay has spent his life trying to prove her wrong. A jack of all trades and master of a couple, Jay is the official photographer for the global live art event ‘Secret Wars’. Jay’s t-total life (thanks to his mother’s alcohol problem) has led to him documenting some memorable events and capturing some side splitting moments which you can see on his Jaysus Photography website as well as this column. Capsule trade show – all the brands were out

Mishka store in Brooklyn. Great store layout with custom Street Fighter Arcade machine!!

Mishka HQ – Greg’s Ofice. This place was an 80’s haven of forgotten toys. I spent 10 minutes in there pointing at every toy I used to have as a kid. Terry struggled to find any of his old figures. Greg explained he didn’t collect Barbie dolls.

View from Empire State Building!

Stika’s love of emergency vechiles took us to a museum dedicated to fire fighters.

A lot of coffee, mixed with plenty of Cola, Red Bull and pro plus made sure the space was looking crisp and tip top for appointments. Founders Chris Carden Jones and David Jefferies were on hand to prove you’re never too high up to get your hands dirty, making sure the room was worthy of the new collection.
On display are a range of new collaborations including fresh designs by Jimi Crayon, Teck 1 and others. Of course there’s plenty more special treats, but we’ll be dropping more info on those at a later date.

Yes, Channel 4 were down
Yes, they brought a film crew with them,
Yes, it was for an arts & culture documentary…kinda
The producers behind comedy show FoneJacker came to Secret Wars to film a new series, which sees the actor turn up as one of his characters. In this case he turned up as a world renowned artist and critic, that just so happened to look a lot like the inventor of the flux capacitor, but in Timmy Mallets favourite shirt.
The crowd were unaware and it was fair to say he managed to rub some people up the wrong way, which might explain the push and shove outside the venue. But credit where credit’s due, he stayed in character throughout.
The video should air in february, so keep your eyes peeled for my chiseled jaw line and deep brown eyes

I did take a load of snaps of the work, but I’m not going to post them up. It just wouldn’t be right. You have to go down to the Print House Gallery to see for yourself.
