Second Son
Jan 29 2010 // Lifestyle
One of my favourite brands in the UK and definitely one to watch out for in 2010, here is some sneak peak stuff from what’s to come this Spring/Summer…

There’s no reason why T-shirts have to be a stagnant element of streetwear, it’s about giving a staple garment a sartorial edge that reflects the aspirations of now, and after all, isn’t that what the t-shirt game has always been about?
After the success of the extremely limited AW/’09 Deerhunter and Spitfire Shirts Second Son continue to forward their position as the vanguards of British Streetwear with their SS/’10 offerings, with a sneak preview here of the Oxford shirt and new Pocket Tees which will be an addition to the regular graphic tee’s on which the brand was founded. The Oxford is all about the classic and clean silhouette, updated with the familiar purple cuff and top buttons, as well as two-tone detailing added to the cuff plackets, Shoulder yoke and hem trim. The pocket tees further the smarter aesthetic of the collection, with an updated and slightly more fitted cut. The tees will come in two styles, a subtle floral print and a bright check, both of which are previewed here. Branding is toned down with the simplicity of the lightening bolt flag label and purple button. The SS/10 collection will also include a chino and new slimmer cut selvedge denim, and will be available from April 1stvia www.second-son.com
